Welcome to my website; here you will find the articles, features and essays I have written over the years on all sorts of historical subjects, particularly military history.
Please also dip into the sections Other articles, MA work, and Family History as I'm sure there will be articles to inform, amuse and interest you all. I am also constructing a 'then and now' section of London 1896 with the London of today. You'll be surprised by how much has changed, but even more surprised by what has not. It is an ongoing project still in its early phase.
Please note that the performance of the WW2 section is not optimal (much to my frustration). Those with slower broadband speeds please be patient; it will download eventually!
Note that many of the images hosted on this site belong to my personal collection. Should you wish to use them I would view it as simple good manners if you ask permission first.
